Kidsland Limited is ranked as Outstanding by Ofsted. WE ARE OUTSTANDING IN ALL AREAS. Kidsland Limited is run as a private limited company by Yvonne Harkness, a level 6 qualified (Degree Level - Lancaster University) playworker, who has a pool of qualified staff, all DBS (CRB) cleared & registered with OFSTED. The staff ratios comply with Government, OFSTED and Department of Education legislation.
Kidsland is now running a new club at Ashleigh Primary School. We are delighted to have been asked by the head teacher and governors, and for the opportunity to bring our Ofsted Outstanding childcare to Ashleigh, and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the school.
Kidsland has relocated from our club at St Barnabas School, to our new premises at St Joseph's Church Hall, on Bolton Road in Darwen. We serve most schools in Darwen, including;
St Barnabas, St Joseph's, Holy Trinity, St Peters & Sudell.
Kidsland Limited is ‘quality assurance accredited' through 4 Children Aiming High, gaining a level 3 award for excellence. Kidsland Limited is the ONLY ‘Out of School' childcare provision within Blackburn with Darwen borough to have achieved this award.
Kidsland limited has level 5 Food Hygiene (Outstanding) rating from Environmental Health and has just been awarded the Recipe 4 Health award. The Recipe 4 Health award is awarded to businesses that meet requirements for food hygiene and trading standards legislation, offer healthy options and are committed to being socially responsible. Kidsland Limited is the ONLY ‘Out of School' childcare provision within Blackburn with Darwen borough to have achieved this award.
Kidsland Limited is Investor In People, accredited since March 2003.
All Kidsland staff have current Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene & Safeguarding certificates. All Kidsland staff have at least a level 2 vocational award in childcare. The manager at Kidsland is level 6 qualified (degree level - Lancaster University) & the deputy manager is level 4 qualified (higher national diploma - Lancaster University).
Kidsland has a thorough complaints procedure, and any complaints will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.

Kidsland Limited holds it's own Insurance covering Public Liability, Employer Liability and Equipment.
Any vehicle used by Kidsland Limited will be taxed, appropriately insured, will have restraints to every seat and car seats for those children who need them. Children will be collected from class or school by a Kidsland playworker, and will be accompanied and supervised at all times. Children wear High Visibility Tabards when out of the provision at all times, including drop offs and collections to and from school, offsite trips, and any outings away from the premises.
The Club will be open during School Term time and School Holidays. The Club will be closed for Bank Holidays, and for one week at Christmas.
